When setting up two-factor authentication in Qooling you have two options:
- Setup per user
- Enforce for all users
1. Setup per user
if you want specific Qooling users to login with two-factor authentication, you need to configure this in their profile. To do so go to:
- Configurations >> Users tab
- Search for the user that you need in the search bar
- Once you find the user, click on their name to open their user profile
- Navigate to the "Settings" tab
- Here you will see a toggle to turn on Two-Factor authentication
- When turned on, this user is now required to use two-factor authentication to log in to Qooling.
2. Enforce for all users
Does your security policy say that all users need to have an extra safety check before logging into systems? Qooling allows you to enforce two-factor for all users, meaning that once you enforce this, all Qooling users will have to log in with two-factor authentication. To configure this go to:
- Configuration >> General
- Among the toggle buttons you will see " Two-Factor Authentication (enforced for all users)"
- Turn it on and done...now everyone needs to use two-factor authentication
3. How to setup and login to Qooling with two-factor authentication
In order to log into Qooling with two-factor authentication, you need to
- On your mobile download the authenticator app called Authy and create an account in the app. Do not use Google or Microsoft authenticator apps, these do not work.
- Open Qooling in your browser and enter your login credentials
- You will be offered to setup the two-factor login
- Scan the QR-code on the screen with your Authy app (+ button "Add account)
- Enter the code retrieved in your app into the browser.
- You have now successfully logged in to Qooling using two-factor authentication.
