To translate a form that you created:
1. Go to the overview page of the forms module.
2. Click on the button "details" of the form that you want to translate. We will take the "Safety Walk" as an example.
3. In the details pop-up look for the button "translations"
4. The translation pop-up will open. There you will see:
- The preferred languages that you should have configured in the general configurations. Each language shows a progress bar with percentages.
- Red --> if you still have missing translations
- Green --> when you have completed all translations for a language
- The fields in the original language to be translated on the left side
- The placeholder fields for translations on the right side
- Auto translate buttons on the right side
5. To translate the fields you have 2 options: manual and automatic.
- To manually translate, simply type the translation in the placeholder field and notice that the fields edges become green.
- To translate automatically click on the button "Auto Translate". You can either auto translate a field or translate all at once.
6. Note that when you translate a fields "Location" for example, the translation gets added to the Qooling repository and this word is now translated in every place where the custom field "Location" finds itself. Thus, if you have another form where you use "Location", then here it will automatically be translated, without having to do this again every time.
7. To ensure that you added all the translations, toggle between filters all and missing in the top right corner. Also notice that when you complete all translation, the aimed language progress bar turns green. In our case, this is Portuguese.
8. When you finish, click on "Save" in the bottom right corner.
9. Click on "New entry" to open up the form and examine the original language.
10. Now close the form and change the preferred and default language of your user profile to desired language (in our case Portuguese). Click on your name in the top left corner and go to settings tab.
11. Refresh and go back to the form and click again on "New entry". Notice that the form is now displayed in the current preferred language for which we translated the form. Also the form overview (results) and the form analytics results are also translated.
