How to work with "Register"

Modified on Fri, 19 Jul, 2024 at 2:49 PM

In the 'Registers' module, we can do a lot of different things. We can: create a new register, open/edit an existing register, copy a register, delete a register, archive a register, assign a group to a register, import/export data to and from a register, add new data manually, print data, create task(s) on entries, and filter on registers.

To do so, we recommend that you follow the following steps

Step 1: Navigate to the ‘Registers’ module.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Filter’ button

You can set the status on: active (default setting), archive (only showing archived registers), and show all (so active & archived registers).

Step 3: Click on the ‘Details’ button

If you do this, you’ll see the following screen, with the following options:

'Delete' the register:

'Archive' the register:

'Assign' a group to the register:

'Edit' the existing register:

'Copy' the existing register:

Step 4: Create a 'New register'

The following screen will appear:

Add the fields that you would like to add to your register. For this example, we will create a Register for ISO 9001.

Step 5: Add data
When you are done creating your Register, click on the 'Save' button. It will show in the overview, click on the name to open the register now, so we can add data to it.

The following screen will appear:

To add data, we have two options. We can add data manually, or we can choose to 'import' data. Next to the import button, there is also a button ‘Export’, to export your collected data.

Now, we’ll move on to the last part of ‘Working with Registers’. We will show you how to create a task on an entry, and how to print an entry.

Click on the title of a Register.

Now the following screen will appear, click on an entry that you would like to print, or create a task for.

For this example, we will use entry ‘#3’. Simply click on it.

The following screen will appear.

Create a 'task' for this entry:

'Print' this entry:
